Castle First Aid Training provides accredited first aid training across Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. Our courses can be delivered at your workplace, school, or organisation, offering convenient and practical training designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.

We offer a range of courses including adult and paediatric first aid, workplace first aid, AED (defibrillator) training, and health and safety awareness. Our training courses are all developed by the awarding body ProTrainings and they meet current HSE guidelines where required, helping businesses, schools, and organisations remain compliant while ensuring their teams are prepared when it matters most.

FIRST AID AT WORK 18 HOUR LEVEL 3 (VTQ)
This comprehensive 3-day First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace.
All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent changes.

During the course, participants will learn:

Incident assessment and casualty management

Adult CPR and use of an AED

Choking and breathing emergencies

Severe bleeding and shock

Burns, fractures, and head injuries

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work (VTQ) certificate, valid for 3 years.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK 6 HOUR LEVEL 3 (VTQ)

This 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification (EFAW) is ideal for businesses with a relatively low number of employees on-site, especially in low-risk environments.
This qualification covers all the core competencies outlined by the HSE, making it an acceptable workplace first aid certification. Completing this course qualifies you to be an appointed first aider in the workplace. It meets HSE workplace first aid requirements and aligns with the latest UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID - 12 HOUR INFANT/CHILD LEVEL 3 (VTQ)
This 2-day Paediatric First Aid course is designed for individuals who care for infants and children, including childminders, nursery staff, teachers, and childcare professionals. The course meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Learners will gain the practical skills and knowledge required to deal with medical emergencies involving babies and children, ensuring they can respond confidently and effectively in a childcare setting.

FIRST AID AT WORK REQUALIFICATION - 12 HOUR LEVEL 3 (VTQ)
This 2-day requalification course is designed for individuals who already hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate that is due to expire. It allows qualified workplace first aiders to refresh and update their knowledge while maintaining compliance with workplace first aid regulations.

The course revisits essential life-saving skills and updates learners on current best practice, ensuring they remain confident and capable of responding to workplace emergencies.

FIRST AID REFRESHER - 4 HOUR (VTQ)
This half-day refresher course is ideal for qualified first aiders who want to keep their skills sharp between full certification courses. It helps reinforce key techniques and build confidence in responding to emergency situations.
The course provides practical revision of core first aid skills and ensures participants remain prepared to act quickly and effectively when needed.
Refresher topics typically include:

Participants will receive a First Aid Refresher (VTQ) certificate on completion.

CPR / BLS & AED FOR ADULTS – 4 HOUR LEVEL 2
This short but essential course teaches the life-saving skills required to respond to cardiac emergencies in adults. It is ideal for workplaces, community groups, fitness professionals, and individuals who want to learn how to respond quickly during a cardiac arrest.

The training focuses on practical skills and confidence-building through hands-on practice with CPR manikins and AED trainers.

MINI MEDICS FIRST AID COURSE - 3 HOURS
The Mini Medics first aid course is perfect for schools and after school clubs, but they can also be held within your local community over the weekends or during the school holidays. This course is the perfect introduction of first aid to children, giving them the essential skills and confidence to help look after this own physical health, and help others around them.
